Volunteer

As a non-profit agency Family Services Center relies on Volunteers to improve the services we offer, the facilities we use and, the outreach and fundraising events that we hold. Volunteering is rewarding to everyone.

Family Services Center has many programs that involve or depend on volunteers. Volunteers do everything from serve on the Board of Directors to keeping our parking lot clean, work in child care and do office work. One thing that all of our volunteers have in common is they change lives. This could result from an intern counseling a client or the smile and kind words of the person that sets up appointments. Volunteers are set apart by their attitude not skills. They lose the "it doesn't concern me" attitude and replace it with contributions to and ownership in the welfare of the community. Volunteers give based on what they can do for others; they feel success when someone else succeeds.

Whether you wish to help identify needs or fill the needs of the people in our community, we can help you find a place to serve. If you are looking to build your work skills or just use the skills you have, we can help you find a place. If you just need to get out of the house and love working with others we can help you. If you have a passion for literacy or working with families going through a divorce you can volunteer to help those who need you.  If your needs and skills are better suited to another agency we can find the right place for you.

We will support you through training, networking, opportunity and fulfillment in working for the community that you are a part of. Contact the Family Services Center Volunteer Coordinator today.
