RULES AND REGULATIONS
- If you have been disqualified from a tournament for cheating or for failing a polygraph test, you are ineligible to participate in this tournament.
- Contestants must submit to a polygraph test if required by tournament officials.
- The entry fee is $50 for Open Division (Big Bass automatically included for all open division contestants) $25 for Women’s Division and $15 for Junior’s Division. (Women’s Division and Junior’s Division contestants may enter the Big Bass for an additional $5). There will be no refund of entry fees. Only one Division may be entered by an individual.
- Only black and small mouth bass caught by artificial baits will be weighed. (Trolling and live bait are not allowed)
- This is a three-fish tournament. You may weigh less than, but not more than three fish.
- Fish must be culled before entry into the weigh-in line. No contestant may enter weigh-in line with more than three fish.
- There will be a ½ pound (8 oz) penalty for each dead fish applied to overall stringer weight.
- Entry fee must be paid at headquarters before fishing (no later than 6:00 am the date of the tournament).
- Boat, tube, kayak or wade fishing are allowed.
- To qualify, contestants must pick up a number at tournament headquarters prior to fishing.
- Only one prize can be won by any contestant in the open division plus one prize in the Big Bass (excluding bonus prizes).
- All State, Federal and local laws must be obeyed.
- Fishing hours are from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm.
- Weigh-in line opens at 2:30 and closes at 3:00. Contestants must be in line no later than 3:00 pm.
- Contestants may be at their desired fishing location, but cannot begin fishing prior to 6:00 am.
- All fish must be 14 inches or longer in length with mouth closed.
- No iced or frozen fish will be allowed.
- The Family Services Center reserves the right to refuse to weigh in any questionable fish.
- No non-contestants will be allowed to be in a contestant’s boat during tournament hours.
- The Family Services Center reserves the right to refuse entry into this tournament by any entrant that is of a questionable nature.
- There will be a 5 mph (no wake) speed limit above the mouth of both creeks when approaching or passing other fishermen.
- All ties will be drawn from a hat or decided on a coin flip.
- Fishing will be done in the navigable waters of Lake Brownwood only. (This includes both creeks equivalent to spillway level).
- A contestant must not allow any fish caught by him or her to be counted by another contestant. In such a case, both contestants will be disqualified.
- Violations of any rules result in automatic disqualification. Decision of the judges are final.
- Winning contestants must be present to accept all prizes.
- ANY PROTEST MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING NO LATER THAN 30 MINUTES AFTER THE CLOSE OF WEIGH-IN AND BEFORE THE AWARDS PRESENTATION.
