Mother's Day Winner- Marie Fowlkes
Each month, Family Services Center of Brownwood gives away a gift basket to a lucky recipient who has attended one or more parenting classes during the month. The winner of the Mother’s Day Basket was Marie Fowlkes of Bangs. Fowlkes received a Keepsake box, Brighton wallet, Fancy’s Spa package, Mary Kay pamper package, Ralph Lauren romance gift box, jewlery and much more. Commenting after she received the basket, Fowlkes said, “I have really liked learning all the new, different teachings for today’s children. It’s not like when I grew up.”
The parenting program at Family Services Center teaches parents how to deal with the everyday challenges of raising children. The program is geared for parents of toddlers to teens, meets once a week for ten weeks, and is scheduled at convenient times for families. There is also a Spanish workbook and teacher available for Spanish speaking parents.
