Clerical Assistant
Supervisor: Volunteer Coordinator Hours: 6 hours a week (2-3 hours a day, 2-3 days a week) Job Summary: This position will file, make copies, bind manuals, shred, and perform other clerical duties as needed. Education Required: Prefer a High School Diploma or GED. Experience Required: Will train in areas needed. Supervisor: Education Liaison, Volunteer Coordinator Hours: Approximately 10 hours a week Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to teach basic office skills to Family Service Center clients. Supervisor: Clinical Supervisor Hours: varies based on class schedule Job Summary: This position will perform duties determined by the requirements of the applicant’s degree plan. These duties include case management, assisting with orientations and intakes, helping master level therapist facilitate anger management classes, and teaching parenting groups. Intern will also be responsible for documentation related to client contact. Education Required: Must be working toward a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related field. Experience Required: Must be recommended by professor or field placement instructor. Supervisor: Clinical Supervisor Hours: Varies based on class schedule Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing direct clinical services to individuals with emotional and psychological difficulties. The services will be provided in both group and individual settings, with an emphasis in family dynamics. While the position will be directly supervised by the Clinical Supervisor, all clinical services will be supervised by the Clinical Supervisor. Some travel required. Performs computer data entry related to therapeutic services, including computer-based assessments. Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree and working toward their Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related degree. Experience Required: Referral from university professor. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: 1. Knowledge of Behavioral Health/ Clinical issues relevant to treating children and families 2. Supervisor: Resource Coordinator Hours: Will vary Job Summary: This position is responsible for the care of children in the Center’s child care center. Duties include: provision of careful and constant supervision, changing diapers, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for children. There may be need to communicate with parents on child’s behavior. Education Required: Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or GED Experience Required: Previous work with children in child care, babysitter or as parent Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Mental and physical ability to work with children. Ability to effectively communicate with parents. Must complete CPR and first aid training. Ability to work will with co-workers. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Knowledge of event planning, social skills, organizational skills, reliability and a willingness to follow through with the project to it's completion desired. Literacy Tutor
Supervisor: Education Liaison Hours: Vary Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to work with individuals or groups to improve reading, English, and/or math skills Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Experience Required: Math and Reading skills Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Must be patient and able to work well with children. Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor Hours: 8-10 hours a week, will vary Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to help keep the Family Service Center grounds clean and maintained. Specific duties include watering and weeding the garden, sweeping (the sidewalks, stairs, porches, and parking lot), raking, mowing, weed eating yard areas, and picking up trash in parking lot and playground areas. Help with special projects as needed. Education Required: None Experience Required: Will train in areas needed. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Must be able and willing to follow instructions. Must have physical ability to clean and lift up to 30 pounds. Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.
